Virtual youth mock parliament sessions: KYPA conducted 12 sessions, two in every month, with 50 participants in the parliament per session totalling to 600 participants in 6 months.
Virtual Committee sittings: these were conducted to increase the number of youth voices and perspectives as they prepare the reports for the mock parliament. KYPA members as well as young MCAs were included in these committee meetings. The committees were:
-Administration & National Security
-Communication, Information & Innovation
-Education and Research
-Health
-Justice and Legal Affairs Committee
-Labor and Social Welfare
-Sports, Culture and Tourism
-Trade, Industry and Cooperatives
-Transport, Public Works & Housing
Each of the 9 committees will meet twice in the 6 months and shall host 30 persons for the report preparations and for progress tracking.
Consultative forums: These shall be used to track the progress of implementation of the various recommendations. The forum included a total of 30 participants comprising youth, young MPs, young MCAs, youth-serving CSOs, and the Executive and was carried out twice during the period of the project.
Publications and awareness campaigns on the fight against Covid-19: KYPA together with the youth in the project shall conduct awareness campaigns as well as do publications to help the youth fight the pandemic as well as highlight the work of the youth in this project.
